For over 30 years Brampton Engineering has developed and manufactured innovative blown film technology for the flexible packaging industry. BE is the world leader in 7, 8, 9 and 10 layer blown film systems.

BE has recently fitted a production scale 9-layer line at their new Film Technology Centre in Canada and expect to complete an Aquafrost water-quenched line for customer demonstration early this year.

AquaFrost is a multilayer blown film system that uses water as a cooling medium plus all the BE components of a conventional blown film line. This system produces:

• Clear, amorphous film not seen before in multilayer blown film
• Film which allows deep draw thermoforming of vacuum packs
• Film with balanced orientation  approximately equal shrinkage in both directions, reducing distortion in the end product.
